Poldi May Get Dream Move, Hyperventilate from Happiness
The Lukas Podolski transfer saga continues…but the end may soon be near.
Earlier in the week there was a report that Bayern Munich held a secret meeting with Hamburg that all but sealed Poldi’s transfer there. Well, that didn’t happen, and now the all but dead move to hometown and former club Cologne (FC Koln) that Lukas has been pining for since the beginning of this seems to be on the verge of actually happening. Says Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge to newspaper TZ:
“Everything is looking good. I am confident it will work out.
“The player only wants to go to Cologne. They will have to offer a bit more but there is no longer much difference between what they are offering and what we want.”
Munich have stood firm on their 10 million Euro asking price, a figure that Cologne came up 3 million short of on their last bid. But if the club chairman says the two sides are close, then they must be close, right?
