Jurgen Klopp is fired up about winning two matches in a row

Everything is finally coming up Klopp again after a nightmare start to the season for Borussia Dortmund. Jurgen’s boys recovered from conceding a goal to Mainz in the first minute on Friday to win 4-2, giving them two consecutive wins and helping them jump out of the relegation zone to finish a week that also saw Marco Reus turn down bigger money elsewhere to sign a contract extension with the club. Naturally, all of this has Klopp very fired up.

After the final whistle, it was a vastly different scene than nine days earlier when Dortmund players attempted to calm irate supporters at the Westfalenstadion. This time, Klopp was jumping for his unique brand of furious joy and giving out hugs two at a time.

And after the nightmares he’s endured this season, he took a moment to soak in the positive vibes that seemed like a distant memory until now.

There’s still a lot of climbing left to do in order to reach a respectable finish, but this week will have Klopp and Dortmund feeling reinvigorated.
