Real Salt Lake striker Devon Sandoval is a man who know how to make the most out of an afternoon. After listening to some Bob Marley tunes, he decided to prepose to his girlfriend. He also knew that he would have a match against Toronto FC on Sunday. So he thought: why not combine this peanut butter and jelly into a soccer-marriage sandwich?
And that he did. Before the match, Sandoval proposed to his girlfriend Cristin in the center circle at Rio Tinto Stadium as his teammates watched.
With that scratched off his to do list, he then started against Toronto and played the full 90 minutes as Salt Lake won 2-1 to round out a very productive Sunday while the rest of us watched Netflix and ate garbage.
