It’s Friday. There are new football shirts to see. This is Football Shirt Friday.

Atletico Madrid home

The upcoming season will mark the 20th anniversary of Atletico winning the domestic double for the first time. Manager Diego Simeone was just a midfielder who dreamed of wearing all black back then. The new shirt features elements of the one worn by Atletico 20 years ago and has the years 1995/96 written on the inside back of the neck of the shirt.

Just looking at this shirt, you can almost hear the Macarena playing in the distance.

Monaco home

This is just a good looking shirt. The gold stripes under each arm are a nice touch. They really convey Monaco’s “tax free” vibe.

Eintracht Frankfurt home

Completing this week’s Nike hat trick is a new look for Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt. The club’s usual black and red stripes have been modified into a black with red pinstripe look. This is also one of the few examples where the sponsor’s logo actually looks good.

Porto away

New Balance had been off to a pretty good start in their first year of making football kits. We saw Porto’s home shirt last week, but this? No. Just no, New Balance. No.
