Adidas not happy with Man United’s style of play, thrilled with their shirt sales

Everyone not named Louis van Gaal is unhappy with Manchester United’s style of play and that includes Adidas, who began a record £750 million deal this season to be the club’s kitmaker. They’ve got absolutely no problem with the sweet, sweet cash they’re generating together, though.

Adidas chief executive Herbert Hainer told Suddeutsche Zeitung (via the BBC):

“We sell more jerseys than expected, the foreign share is 60%. We are satisfied, even if the actual way of playing of United is not exactly what we want to see.”

I guess it’s difficult to find Man United matches too boring when you’re busy counting all the money they’re making you. If anything, they won’t distract you and make you lose count.
