Andrea Bocelli delivers spine-tingling performance before Leicester match

Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli fulfilled his promise to Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri by performing at the King Power Stadium ahead of the Premier League champions’ match against Everton. While fans drank free beer and ate free pizza and special “Salt and Victory” flavored snacks provided by the club’s sponsors, Bocelli got the day’s festivities off to a dramatic start by singing “Nessun Dorma” and “Con Te Partiro” with Ranieri at his side.

“I’ve followed the story of Leicester for months already,” Bocelli, who removed his jacket to reveal a Leicester shirt during his performance, told BBC Radio before the match (*cough* gloryhunter *cough*). “One month ago, I decided to sing for this beautiful team and I called Ranieri by phone and I offered to sing for this big fest.”

With Bocelli singing and the Premier League trophy to be lifted, Leicester groundsman took his work to the next level with an ornate pitch design.

And Jamie Vardy kept the hits coming by scoring just five minutes after kickoff on his return from a two-match ban. What a day for Leicester.

That Twitter picture…Someone needs to alert Puma that their team just won the EPL, and to celebrate they mowed Umbro logos all over the turf.
