With Man United ready to play their final match of the Premier League season at the same time as every other club in the league, a “suspicious device” is discovered in a bathroom and Old Trafford is evacuated. The match is abandoned and rescheduled for Tuesday. It is eventually discovered that the device was a prop for a security company’s training exercises held at the stadium earlier in the week. The head of this company claims it wasn’t necessary to evacuate the stadium.

Meanwhile, Man City put fourth place and a shot at the Champions League out of reach for Man United with a 1-1 draw against Swansea City, leaving United to stare into the abyss for 48 hours before playing a match that now has no meaning for them whatsoever.

Attempt number two at playing this match begins with children dressed as mutants leading the team onto the pitch.

Our young X-Men mascots are getting ready to accompany the players onto the pitch this evening…

Fans hold the most passive-aggressive “manager out” sign ever created.

With their team up 3-0 late in a match that did not cost anything to attend, Man United fans leave early and get made fun of by Bournemouth supporters.

Mere seconds away from the final whistle, Chris Smalling scores an own goal to prevent David De Gea from matching Petr Cech for most clean sheets this season and being joint-winner of the Golden Glove.

Louis van Gaal thanks the remaining fans for their unconditional support all season. He is booed throughout his speech while Bournemouth fans sing “You’re getting sacked in the morning.” Man United still have the FA Cup final left to play.

The Bournemouth chants are hilarious. Just when I’ve lost faith in that inbred island they go and pull off something like this. My English knowledge is severely lacking but I believe that is the true meaning of taking the piss out of someone.
