Dirty Tackle is an award-winning football blog that was founded in 2008 by Brooks Peck and Carter Daly. The current editor is Bert Tiddle. From 2010-2014 it was a Yahoo Sports blog, but unlike Scotland, it has regained its independence (at least for now). It aims to find and highlight the humor in a sport that is often taken far too seriously and help you waste time that should be devoted to far more productive activities.

You’re welcome.

About Bert:

Bert Tiddle is a retired striker who played Ipswich Town, Oldham Athletic, Coventry City, Sheffield United and at least eight to 10 other clubs in the old First and Second Divisions. He won the FA Cup with Coventry in 1987. A freak vending machine accident on the 25th of May, 1992 cost him his big toe and ended my playing career just before the Premier League began. A second freak vending machine accident on the 17th of October, 1993 cost him the top part of his index finger, but did lead to a court case that made him quite wealthy. He is the father of 18 children: Keenan, Philbo, Orlando, Zinfandel, Avalanche, Pimento, Salamander, Accident, Cirrhosis, Flatulence, Dandruff, Migraine, Harlot, Jabulani, Hemorrhage, Montalban, Glaucoma, and Bert Jr. He is still attracted to his ex-wife Debra.
