Barcelona’s Douglas injures his butt while sleeping on bus

A day after it was reported that Barcelona defender Douglas initially refused to go on loan to Sporting Gijon, where he eventually ended up this season, it has now been revealed that his hesitancy to join the club was well founded. The seats on their team bus are a threat to his physical well being.

According to Sporting physical trainer, Gerardo Ruiz, talking to sports radio show Onda Deportiva in Asturias, Douglas fell asleep on the bus in an uncomfortable position on the trip from Gijón to Vigo (a four [hour] drive across northern Spain) and when he woke up he’d injured his backside (strictly one of his gluteal muscles).

Coincidentally, Sporting’s next match is against Barcelona, so Douglas will have an opportunity to beg his parent club to take him back to the comfort of their superior bus seats.

Gremio player pees on the Maracana pitch while surrounded by teammates

Fluminense and Gremio played a rather uneventful 0-0 draw in the Copa Do Brazil, but just before the match began something unusual happened. Gremio midfielder Douglas took a knee while surrounded by his teammates and let loose with a waterfall of urine down the leg of his shorts.

Leo Messi is the designated driver for the Clasico afterparty

Barcelona beat Real Madrid 2-1 at the Camp Nou and judging by Neymar’s post-match Instagram photo, the Barca players celebrated the result by putting on their most ridiculous clubbing attire and piling into Uncle Leo Messi’s minivan for a night on the town.

Dani Alves wore his gold shoes, Neymar a red leather jacket, Adriano had on a denim one with gaudy cuff flair, Rafinha decided to be a hitman, and Douglas was a cross between Carlton Banks and a nightclub owner. Then there was Messi, who looked like he was dressed by his mother — perhaps fitting since he has a tattoo of her face on his shoulder.

Anyway, it’s good to see that the boys had a designated driver for the evening. And that Uncle Leo isn’t just sitting home with his Lego collection.
