The Champions League anthem is the greatest song ever composed. This is a scientific fact. So it’s perfectly reasonable that Cristiano Ronaldo would sing it with the sincerity of someone reciting their vows on their wedding day. While his teammates stood around waiting for their match against Spurs to begin, Cristiano appeared to be in another realm as he sang along with the anthem. And when it concluded, he nodded, as if to say “Yeah, I nailed it. I. Nailed. It.”
Cristiano has done this before, but after winning the Champions League in back to back years and becoming the competition’s all-time leading scorer, it seems that he believes the Champions League anthem is his personal anthem. And at this point, it’s difficult to dispute that.
