Inter lost 3-1 at Sassuolo on Sunday, and the traveling the supporters were not pleased with the performance. Failing to recognize this, Fredy Guarin and Mauro Icardi, who scored Inter’s only goal, tossed their shirts into the crowd and the crowd tossed them right back.
Back with Inter, Roberto Mancini is in the process of building what could be a formidable squad, but before they beat Genoa 3-1 on Sunday, they turned on their creator. Early in the game, Inter captain Marco Andreolli flicked a clearance that smashed Mancini in the face, sending the former Man City manager to the ground.
Jose Mourinho and Mario Balotelli had their run-ins during their time at Inter and though their relationship suffered for it at the time, it seems that Mourinho can laugh about it now that they’ve gone their separate ways.
In an interview with BT Sport’s Clare Balding, Mourinho tells the story of how Balotelli once skipped a meeting between the two of them so he could attend a Formula 1 event. Mario’s reason for doing this? According to Mourinho, Balotelli told him, “Meetings in your office I can have every day, but Formula 1 is only in Italy once a year.”
